• Dewan Bahadur Padma Rao Mudaliar Degree College is managed by the Keyes Education Society. The Society with more than 125 years of tireless effort in promoting women’s education has established the Keyes High School, Veeraswamy Kindergarten, and Keyes Junior College.
  • In the centenary year of Keyes High School 1981-82 the DBPM college was established culminating the efforts of Mrs. Bhagyalaxmi Natarajan the then Honorary Secretary of Keyes Education Society.
  • The college was named after her father-in-law Shri Padma Rao Mudaliar, a founder member of Keyes High School and a prominent figure who made immense contributions towards worthy and noble causes.
  • The College is a symbol of a century of encouragement, assistance and education of the Girl-Child.
  • The college commenced classes on 4th November 1982 with B.A. and B.Com
  • In the year 1985 B.Sc 1 year MPC group was started.
  • Currently the college offers courses in B.Com(Regular),B.Com(Computers) and B.sc(MPCs) & (MSCs)
  • The college was admitted into Grant-in-Aid in the year 1990.
  • The college was included in Section 2(F) and 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956.
  • In the heart of the city DEWAN BAHADUR PADMA RAO MUDALIAR DEGREE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN is located within the premises of Keys High school for girls. DBPM Degree College for women is easily accessible through bus and other modes of transport.
