A very good evening to one and all. We all have gathered today here to celebrate our 42 nd Annual Day which is a long awaited todays event.

Dewan Bahadur Padma Rao Mudaliar Degree College for Women was established on 4 th November, 1982 marking the Centenary of Keyes High School paving way for this Prestigious Institution. I am happy to say that this is
our 42 nd Year. I would lie to emphasize that our Founder Shri C.V.Padma Rao’s vision of establishing an Educational Institution from KG to PG has seen light of the day and is being run successfully all these years.
I deem it a pleasure to present the Annual Report of the activities during 2023-24 before this august gathering.

We have well qualified and experienced faculty who have been playing a pivotal role in the growth and development of the college over the years. As a part of Faculty Development Programme as an ongoing practice of this
institution. Dr. Archana Murthy Associate Professor of English was a resource person for “Artificial Intelligence in Education”. Mrs. Dorcas Nalini Samson, Assistant Professor of English presented a paper on “Soft Skills and
Communication Skills in the International Virtual Conference conducted by “Narasaraopeta Engg College” in May, 2023. Mrs. Baby Revathi, Assistant Professor of Commerce presented paper on “Rise of Women Entrepreneur” in
the digital age conducted by Vignana Jyothi Institute of Arts and Sciences during February, 2024. She also presented a paper on “Women Entrepreneurship” at City College. The paper got published in Education Society Journal, Pune with ISSN accredition during January – March, 2024. Ms. Adeeba Nuzhat, Assistant Professor, Commerce Department presented paper on “Content Marketing” – What helps people help Business, at the National Seminar conducted by Bhavan’s New Science College, Hyderabad. Her paper was selected as Best Article for April, 2024., A health talk on the topic “A Natural Way of improving Blood Health” organised by Mr. Vamsidhar and Mr.Vishwa.

Students also participated in National Seminars and presented papers. A few to name are Ms.G.Sujitha of BBA III year presented paper on “Empowering Women Entrepreneur in the digital age” at Vignan Jyothi Arts and Science
College. Another student Ms. Aruna and Ms. Akshaya of B.Com Computers III year jointly presented a paper “Successful Women Entrepreneur” in Micro Small and Medium Enterprises during February, 2024. Students from B.Com (General) III yearMs. Sindhu Bhairavi and Ms. Sharanya on “Geo Fencing” and on 15 th April, 2024 on “Social Media” by Ms. Satya kala and Ms. Sanjana from B.Com (General) III year attended a two day National Seminar on “Recent Trends in Online Marketing in India” conducted by Bhavan’s New Science College, Hyderabad. Ms. G.Sujitha of BBA III year also presented paper on Block Chain Technology.

Our students participated in various Inter College Competitions during this academic year.

1) Ms.Mehraj Sultana, Ms. M.Sujitha and Ms.Gopala Sujitha of BBA III participated in Inter College Debate Competition held at AV College and won cash prize of Rs.1,500.

2) Ms.Mehraj Sultana, Ms. Mainaz Nazneen participated in Inter College Elocution Competition conducted by Railway Degree College.

3) Ms,Rubina Nahid, Ms. G.Sujitha,Ms. Varsha and Ms. Bhargavi of BBA III participated in Inter College Essay Writing, Treasure Hunt and IdeaPresentation competition conducted in St. Anns Degree College.

4) Ms.G.Sujitha, Ms. Meraj, Ms.Mainaz, Ms.Varsha, Ms. Rubina and Ms. Bhargavi from BBA III participated in Essay Writing Competition and Ms. Bhargavi of BBA III participated in Painting Competition conducted
by Koti Womens College.

5) Ms. Asfiya Sultana, Reshma Sultana, Mahira Mirza and Zoha Khatoon participated in Quiz Competition conducted by St.Anns Degree College, Mallapur. The same students participated in Treasure Hunt, Quiz
Competitions in the same college.

The College has been organizing Guest Lecture with regard to Career Guidance. The objective is to create awareness among the students to develop proper skills to focus themselves on their future career. A Seminar on “Overview of Indian Income Tax” conducted on 13 th September, 2023 by Dr. B. Sandhya Rani, Associate Professor, UCC&BM, OU, and Assistant Director, UGC – HRDC, OU. Another Seminar was held in the college on 16 th November, 2023. Dr.Narmada Patel from the Department of Hindi enlightened students.

As a part of Placement Activities in the college, Mahindra Pride School founded Nandi Foundation as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility had come forward to train our students for placements. Since the year 2016 we have tie up with them. From 5 th March to 7 th March, 2024, three days program of 6 hours daily was conducted on
Employability Skills, Professional Skills and Effective Speaking. Around 90 students participated. Trophies were awarded for the best performers and certificates were given to all the participants. We got a good feedback from the students. Roto Maker Company is a Multi National company located at Moula Ali, VFX Ltd. Under the CSR Programme, Company provided free training to Students of Final year in their company on personal and professional skill development, business strategies, career guidance, presentation skills, placement assistance etc. It was conducted from January 27 th to April, 8 th 2024. More than 40 students participated and got benefit from
this programme and got International Accredation Organisation (IAO) Certification and Internship Certificates also. Few students received cash back registration fees. All this was under the guidance of CEO Mr.Surya Rao. A Certificate Course in Power BI and Advanced Excel was conducted in the College from 6 th November,2023 to 5 th January,2024 for 60 hours duration. The Practical Classes were held in the college on every Saturday. 10 Students along with a Commerce Faculty Ms. Radha attended the course. All the students scored more than 80%. Ms. Radha
was the topper.

Another Certificate course on Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program (ESDP) on Advanced Bed side Nursing Supported by Confederation on Women Entrepreneurs of India (COWE) was conducted in the College from 5 th February, to 18 th March, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm of 5 days week for 1 month. 25 students participated under the guidance of Dr. Sudarshan, Mr.Naveen and Ms. Bushra.

U.Nikhita Baby of B.Com III D participated in District and State Classic Power Lifting and won Gold medals.

NCC Activities – 18 students had taken “C” Certificate Practical exam on 18 th February, 2024 and they attended the C Certificate Exam on 3 rd March, 2024. Our 12 NCC students participated in National Womens’ Day celebration
at Rashtrapathi Nilayam, Bolaram on 13 th February, 2024.
